Cold Snap Winterizer
Cold Snap Winterizer
Be one of the first lawns on the block to have a Spring green-up by prepping your lawn in the Fall!
As the temperatures drop in the late fall, grasses will store nutrients in the root system, causing the plant to lose it's color and go dormant. As it does this, it transfers all the nutrients into the roots. This is the perfect time to add a final application for the year which will help your lawn bounce back in the Spring.
A winterizer application is designed to help your lawn store nutrients over the winter. It won't affect the look of the lawn in the near term, but it will produce a strong spring 'flush' when it comes out of dormancy. This spring flush will create a thick turf canopy which will crowd out weeds.
Our winterizer contains a balanced mix of nutrients:
Low-Nitrogen: 2% Nitrogen is a relatively small amount for a fertilizer. This limits unnecessary top growth in the late fall, and limits the amount of Nitrogen that leaches out of the soil over the winter.
Potassium: Helps improve the immune system to fend off the stress of extreme cold and snow compaction.
Phosphorus: Used by the plant to stimulate root development.
In addition to the macronutrients, Cold Snap contains trace minerals and micronutrients found naturally in Cold Water North Atlantic Sea Kelp and Hydroyzed fish protein. This blended mix gives you all the benefits of Fish and Seaweed in an easy-to-use mix!
